Working in a new space is always a delight. And working in a new space like Machine Shop is a designer’s dream. But working in a new space with the perfect client is even better!!!
Tali (the bride) and her mom were a delight from the get-go. They’re both relatable, funny, and “real”. Talking through their vision was a breeze.
Tali knew what she wanted. Lots of greens. Something fall-ish. But nothing too literal. (ie. No pumpkins or gourds. No rust colored mums.) Something different. Something impactful.
So we brought in loads of greenery, sophisticated neutral blooms, and fancy autumnal grasses.
The real statement was a hanging installation that transformed between the ceremony and reception.
We did a lot of planning. A lot of mathematical calculations. A lot of work with our professional rigger. Then came up with a multi-functional piece that worked as a backdrop for the ceremony and a focal point for the reception.
We hope you like the project as much as we do! Thanks to Sarah Hrudka for documenting the event and sharing her images with us!
